About
From my earliest days as an art student at the University of Houston, I was drawn to the patterns and shapes found in nature. The focus of my work became interpreting this natural world. I take the recurring shapes found in objects and scenes and present them in a way not commonly perceived in nature. Whether working in a semi-abstract or totally non-objective manner, I strive to capture the essence or spirit of the object or scene. This style of painting is called Abstract Naturalism.
